Photo Club Teens 13 and up: Each week Rafael Ortiz, teen librarian at Flushing Library, will issue a photo journal prompt and demonstrate common photo app editing tools. Teen Writing Club Are you a teen writer or a teen who is interested in creative writing? We have a club for you! Join other teens to work on your creative writing through timed writing sprints and prompts. You can work on your own pieces, too. We will discuss writing in all its aspects. Read Your Story: After Dark Fairy Tales You’ve grown up hearing fairy tales all your life that usually have happy endings, but that’s not always the case in these fairy tales. Come and join me for After Dark Fairy Tales, where you’ll hear some stories from the Brothers Grimm. Pull up a chair to hear some truly frightening fairy tales. 3D Design with TinkerCAD Club Teens 13 and up: Get comfortable with 3D design and create a diorama representing your favorite story. Each week Ms. Ilana, teen librarian at Flushing Library, presents challenges and tutorials demonstrating 3D design. Chat with your friends to problem solve common issues. Tell Your Story: An America That Reflects You Our country is at a tipping point following the events of the past few months. Join us for a guided discussion and tell your stories with other teens. Together we’ll make sense of what’s happening in America today by looking at the shared experiences of our past. Join our virtual workshop “Do You Feel Protected: A Conversation for Black and Brown Young Women.” This workshop will not only give young women a platform to speak candidly of their experience as teen women of color, but will uplift and help them find a solution as to how we can protect ourselves as teen women in this society.
