Summer Kids

Summer Kids, hosted by Hunters Point Parks Conservancy (HPPC), has returned to Long Island City until August 21, in Hunter’s Point South Park and Gantry Plaza State Park. Every day, including weekends, HPPC will host a family friendly program for kids under 10 at 10am. All events are free, but some have limited capacity so registration is suggested to guarantee a spot. The registration link is available on HPPC’s website, hunterspointparks.org. This year HPPC is bringing back favorites like Music Time with Andy and Suzanna, Bricks 4 Kids, Yogi Beans, and adding classes with Zing!, The Blue Bus Project, and more! Programs will feature a mix of art, STEAM classes, music, movement, and creative play designed to keep kids active and engaged over the summer. This year’s programming is sponsored by Weill Cornell Medicine – Long Island City, Hunter’s Point South Living, NYC Ferry, Councilwoman Julie Won, and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development.
