For Teens, Ages 13-19: Youth Justice Court Is Now Available.
Youth Justice Court (for teens, ages 13-19) (in-person)
Youth Justice Court (YJC) is a free program for middle and high school students which allows them to learn about the criminal justice system and receive training to become a peer judge, prosecutor, defense attorney, and jury member.
Participants will get to help other teens avoid school suspensions, criminal and family court appearances, and potential violations of probation. They will be challenged to think about accountability in a fair, dignified way. This is also an opportunity to learn valuable skills for life, as well as for resumes, college, and job opportunities.
The program runs every semester, and participants can join at any time.
