P!nk Brings ‘Summer Carnival’ To Citi Field

Global music superstar P!nk put on an extravagant, acrobatic showcase at Citi Field for her Summer Carnival tour on Thursday, August 3.

The “TRUSTFALL” singer didn’t show up alone, either. Grouplove and Brandi Carlile also performed at the Queens stadium in support of the music sensation. P!nk got the show off to a festive start with her beloved hit, “Get the Party Started.” As soon as the first chord of the song fired off, fans of all ages knew that it was going to be a fun evening filled with nostalgia, death-defying stunts, and the marvelous power of the present moment.

At one point during the concert, P!nk paid tribute to the late Sinéad O’Connor. The Irish singer and songwriter passed away last month on July 26 in the United Kingdom. P!nk covered Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” with Brandi Carlile in a duet that honored a trailblazing performer who was unafraid to be unique and used her voice to help change the world, no matter the cost to her own career.

P!nk also performed crowd-pleasing favorites “Raise Your Glass,” “Just Like a Pill,” “Try,” “Never Gonna Not Dance Again,” and “What About Us” during her trip to the world’s most diverse borough.

Didn’t get the opportunity to see P!nk courageously fly and soar through the air? Never fear, she’s still hitting the road with her carnival all summer long. Readers who want to catch her at a different venue can go to pinkspage.com to purchase tickets for an upcoming show.
