Offer $2G Reward For Armed Astoria Holdup Suspect

Police officials last week released a photo of a shotgun-wielding robber (see photo) who attacked a clerk at an Astoria dry cleaner store before grabbing an unknown amount of cash and fleeing the scene.

Cops said the 47-year-old victim was working at Astoria Cleaners at 23-47 31st Street on January 14, when the suspect bolted into the store and pointed a shotgun at her.

The suspect then smacked the woman on the head with the gun and grabbed the cash before he ran from the store, police said.

The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male, 25-30 years old and 6-feet, I-inch tall. He was wearing a hoodie, pulled over his head, during the robbery, police said.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers HOTLINE at 1-800-577-TIPS or click on www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

The HOTLINE is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
