New Dutch Kills Development

Permits have been filed for a six-story, mixed-use building on a parcel at 39-04 29th Street in the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City, according to a post on the YIMBY (Yes, In My Back Yard) website.

The 59-foot-tall building will feature 15, 026-square-feet of residential space with 20 rental units, 7,186-square-feet of commercial space, a small rear yard and a basement parking area to accommodate 13 vehicles, according to YIMBY.

Select residential units on the second floor will feature balconies with glass and metal railings that overlook 29th Street. The building will also feature additional outdoor space above the fourth floor and on the roof.

An existing two-story building will face a wrecking ball to make way for the new development.

The building will be conveniently located 1½ blocks from the MTA Dutch Kills-39th Avenue elevated line and the MTA Q-102 bus line. The building will also be located approximately 2 blocks from the Queens Plaza transportation hub.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.

 

Woodside Avenue Development

Permits have been filed for development of a seven-story residential building at 40-22 61st Street in Woodside, according to a post on the YIMBY (Yes, In My Back Yard) website.

The proposed 68-foot-tall development will feature 60-744-square-feet of residential space with 78 rental units, a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard and 72 enclosed parking spaces, according to YIMBY.

An existing two-story house will have to be demolished to make way for the new development.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The building, on Woodwise and 43rd Avenues will be conveniently located near the MTA 61st Street-Woodside station on the No. 7 line.
