Lafayette, Queens Assembly Meet With DA Brown


 

 



Speaker Pro Tempore Ivan C. Lafayette (D–Jackson Heights, second from l.) hosted a meeting with Queens District Attorney Richard Brown and members of the Queens Assembly legislative delegation to discuss the needs of the district attorney’s office to continue to improve the quality of life for the residents of Queens. The district attorney’s office annually seeks funds from New York state for criminal justice initiatives. The district attorney’s office is seeking funding for its Airport Investigation Unit, Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Funds and Anti-drug funding. Lafayette and the other lawmakers assured the district attorney’s office that they will do all that they can to ensure that these programs continue to receive necessary funding to guarantee the best possible quality of life for all Queens residents.
