Hunt Gunman In Garage Attack




Police are searching for a man who assaulted a parking attendant before stealing a car from a Rego Park garage.

Cops said the armed suspect was caught on surveillance footage approaching the 59-year-old parking attendant at about 2:20 p.m. on June 30th, asking id he could take a vehicle from the garage on Queens Boulevard near 62nd Place in Rego Park.

When the attendant refused to comply, the man pulled a gun and started chasing the victim, police said. The suspect is shown on the surveillance footage following the attendant into an exit, where he struck the victim with the gun.

The suspect fled after he was unable to drag the victim back to the parking lot, police said.
