Sept. 22, the Steuben Parade Committee asks all to join the memorial prayer service for victims of the World Trade Center disaster and their families; St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Fifth Avenue and 50th Street, Manhattan, 9:30 a.m.


Donations of the following are needed for rescue workers at the WTC recovery site: respirator masks with charcoal filters, bath towels, dog food and bowls, can openers, coolers, sports drinks, work gloves, headbands, cell phone batteries and chargers, sweat shirts, tee-shirts, flashlights with batteries, tooth brushes and toothpaste, D batteries, rain slickers, aspirin, deodorant, soap, Ace bandages, allergy medication, saline solution, bandages, tube socks, long-sleeve shirts, underwear, steel-toed boots, hardhats, goggles, rain slickers. These items can be dropped off at Shea Stadium, Stadium Operations, Gate C, 507-6387.
