The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition (CALDC) 2010 Summer Fun Children’s Series opens July 7 with Tuesday morning performances at Athens Square Park, 30th Avenue and 30th Street and Wednesday morning performances at the Dutch Kills Playground, 36th Avenue and Crescent Street. Music of the Earth is the first event, July 7 at the Dutch Kills Playground.
Music of the Earth takes listeners on an exotic and mysterious journey of sound and spirit from around the world exploring how and why sound is used and how it connects to world cultures.
The Summer Fun Children’s Series provides entertainment featuring artists specializing in children’s performances in the fields of music, storytelling and theater. All performances start at 10:30 a.m.
