Astoria Fireworks

To celebrate Independence Day this year, take family and friends out for exciting festivities and dazzling fireworks at the 39th Annual Independence Day Celebration at Astoria Park on June 29th!

The celebration starts at 7:30 pm, so be sure to arrive earlier to secure a spot on Astoria Park’s Great Lawn, located on Shore Boulevard between the Hell Gate Bridge and the pool. Feel free to bring a blanket and other supplies to have a picnic as well. The fireworks display, slated for 9 pm, will be done by the Grucci Brothers, who have also done the Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks. The fireworks look fantastic against the backdrop of Astoria Park, and the RFK and Hell Gate Bridges. In addition to the show, Long Island’s Swingtime Big Band will be performing. The 20-piece band’s grand encapsulation of swing music is sure to inspire nostalgic feelings. The entire celebration is organized by Central Astoria LDC and funded by Council Member Tiffany Caban, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the City Council, and several corporate sponsors.

The Astoria fireworks are known for pulling in greater crowds every year. They provide the perfect opportunity to gather with the community and share in this moment of celebration and joy. For more information on the event, visit www.centralastoria.org or call (718) 728-7820.
