Queens Gazette

A New Era Of Healing And Unity

As we go to press, our country is preparing for the inauguration of our next president, Joe Biden and vice president, Kamala Harris. Biden will be our 46th president. Festivities will be limited, to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Although we will always have some differences as a nation, as we have had for many years, we need to focus on the positive. That is the American Way. We accept debate and disagreement, but it must be respectful, even if we disagree and have trouble finding common ground. It is just like keeping a family together.

We at the Gazette are opposed to violence always (just last week in our editorial we quoted Martin Luther King on non-violent protest). We do not support violence from either side. We hope for positive, constructive developments, and pray for few or no serious problems, and successful navigation of whatever issues may come up in the next few years. At the end of the day, we must protect freedom of speech and our democracy.
