St. Demetrios Girl Scouts Collect Bottles For Recycling



The seventh grade Cadettes of Girl Scout Troop 4373 at St. Demetrios School, Astoria, organized a drive at the school to recycle water and soft drink bottles made of plastic. Troop members collected, sorted, emptied and prepared hundreds of bottles for recycling, raising awareness among their classmates about the benefits of recycling and how it helps the environment.
