City Councilmember Tony Avella, together with community organizer Enes Balsamo, assisted residents of Whitestone and Clearview in organizing a rally to boycott a new CVS drug store, located at 20-21 Francis Lewis Blvd. The CVS store replaced a Key Food supermarket. Twenty-five residents, mainly seniors, attended the boycott rally and vowed not to shop at the store.
