Police are searching for a brazen robber who made off with $3,000 in an Astoria bank robbery. Police said the man walked into an Alma Bank branch at 41-02 Broadway at about 11 am on September 8th, where he handed a note to a teller demanding cash. The teller complied and the man ran from the bank, heading eastbound on foot on Broadway, with the cash. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 40 years old and 140 pounds, with facial hair and tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a black shirt at the time of the robbery.
