Hunt Middle Village Bank Bandit

Police are searching for a man who made off with more than $18G in the robbery of Middle Village bank on March 6.

Cops said the suspect walked into a Cross County Savings Bank branch at 80-10 Eliot Avenue at about 4 p.m. on March 6th and handed a teller a note demanding cash.

The 20-year-old teller complied and handed over more than $1,800 to the suspect, who fled on foot heading eastbound on Eliot Avenue.

Police said this was not the first time the bank branch was held up. The same branch was targeted in 2012 by a man who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, and in 2015, when a bandit wanted for multiple, citywide bank robberies held up the Middle Village branch.
Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, described as a white male, 40-to-50-years old.
