New Dutch Kills Housing

The owner of a parcel at 36-11 31st Street in Long Island City has filed permits to develop a six-story residential building at the site, according to information posted on YIMBY nyc.

Plans call for a 63-foot tall, 16,700-square-foot building with 2,650-square-feet for a ground floor studio designed for photography, radio or TV use and 9,400-square-feet for residential use.

The building will feature 10 condominium units, a laundry room, ground floor lobby and an undisclosed amount of bicycle parking.

The developer has not filed for permits to demolish a row of two-story brick townhouses at the site, and has not announced an expected completion date for the project.

The development is conveniently located in the heart of the Dutch Kills community in Long Island City, just feet from the MTA 36th Avenue (Washington Avenue) N/W elevated line, the MTA Q-102 bus line and within walking distance to the Queens Plaza transportation hub.
