The event was a huge success. Little zombies, witches, monsters, superheroes, dinosaurs, animes, Shreks, and skeletons enjoyed the facepainting, clown and his balloon creatures, raffle, fun, popcorn machine, hot dogs, soda, dancing, singing, and entertainment – all free.

United Community Civic Association President RoseMarie Poveromo said, “It was a pleasure to see more than 500 children enjoying themselves on Halloween in a secure and friendly environment. As always, it was a most successful event to keep the children safe. Our very heart-felt thanks to all our generous donors: Nick Neocleous, Central Lounge; Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee Company; Skanska-Walsh; Ridgewood Savings Bank; Long Island City / Astoria Kiwanis Club; and Mandell Key Food Stores.”
