Jackson Heights IHOP Closed

Western Queens residents will have to find a new way to satisfy their hunger for pancakes.
Operators of an International House of Pancakes (IHOP) restaurant at 73-01 Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights posted a notice last week bidding farewell toemployees and longtime customers that read: “To our guests and employees: We are sad to say after many years of business in this community that this IHOP location has permanently closed.”
It is unclear if workers received advance notice that they would soon be unemployed.
Franchise owner, Mr. Stax, Inc., and IHOP officials did not immediately respond to calls and e-mails seeking comment.
