Borough President Joins In ‘National Night Out’

The “National Night Out,” an annual event intended to enhance police-community relations and promote a united stand in the fight against crime, was held at 17 Queens locations on August 7. Queens Borough President Melinda Katz visited three of the locations, including Baisley Pond Park in South Jamaica, where the 113th Precinct held its National Night Out celebration. The Borough President is shown here presenting a Proclamation to Karen Clements, president of the 113th Precinct Community Council, and Captain Eric Robinson, executive officer of 113th Precinct. National Night Out events have been held nationwide on the first Tuesday in August since 1984.
