‘Walk The Line’ With Ring Of Fire Band; Watch ‘Black Panther’

The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition’s 2018 Waterfront Concert Series concludes on Thursday, August 16 at 7:30 pm, when Michael Patrick’s Ring of Fire Band will take the stage at the Astoria Park Great Lawn on Shore Boulevard between the Hell Gate Bridge and Astoria Pool. The band will pay homage to the legendary Johnny Cash, making you believe that you’re listening to the “Man in Black” himself. Everyone is invited to attend this free concert on the beautiful Astoria Park waterfront. Bring a blanket or chair and get there early because this concert is a must-see! The 2018 Movies on the Waterfront Series continues on Monday, August 20 at sunset on the Astoria Park Great Lawn with a screening of the mega-blockbuster hit, “Black Panther,” and concludes on Monday, August 27 with a screening of the classic Academy Award-winning film “Casablanca.” The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition thanks everyone who came out and made this summer’s Waterfront Series an amazing success, and looks forward to seeing everyone later this year at its third annual Batty Over Halloween Celebration on Sunday, October 21, from 12:00-3:00 pm; and at its 6th annual Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, December 1, from 2:00-5:00 pm, both at the Astoria Park Great Lawn. The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition’s 2018 Waterfront Series was made possible through funding provided by NYC Council Member Costa Constantinides, support from NYC Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, and in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
