Cops Hunt Senior Rob Suspect

Police are searching for a man who helped an 85-year-old Sunnyside woman to the No. 7 train on July 13th, moments before he swiped the woman’s purse.

Cops said the man was caught on surveillance footage outside a building at 47-01 Queens Boulevard at about 1 p.m. on July 13th, where he offered his help to the elderly woman as she headed to the 46th Street-Bliss station on the No. 7 line.

The man is seen helping the woman into the station, where he stole her purse containing $130 cash, a debit card and some personal papers, police said.

The woman was not injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 30s, approximately 5-feet-tall and 125 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, dark-colored shoes and a blue baseball cap at the time of the robbery.
