The overall community was well-represented as leaders from various associations and institutions in the community joined the festivities.

United Civic Community Association President Rose Marie Poveromo said, “I was so very pleased that our annual barbecue, ‘A Fun Raiser,’ was successful and turned out to be one of the most enjoyable events of the year.”

Poveromo added, “Our next event will be our 9/11 Candlelight Memorial on Wednesday, September 12 at 7 pm at McManus Memorial Park. Please attend this important event, one which should never be forgotten.”—Tony Barsamian
