Six-Story Development To Replace Beer Garden

The owner of a parcel at 30-09 21st Street has filed plans to develop a six-story, mixed use building at the site.

The development will feature two apartments on floors two through six and 1,147-square-feet of commercial space on the ground floor. The building will also feature access to a rooftop recreational area and laundry rooms on the Penthouse level, according to a posting on the YIMBY (Yes, In My Back Yard) website.

A three-story mixed-use building formerly occupied by “The Barn” beer garden will face a wrecking ball to make way for the new development.

The building will be conveniently located approximately five blocks from the 31st Street elevated N/W subway line, and with direct access to MYA buses that run from 21st Street to the Queens Plaza transportation hub.
