Pet Adoption Fair Coming To Forest Park

The Richmond Hill Block Association, in conjunction with the ASPCA, Animal Care Centers of New York City and Heavenly Angels Rescue, is hosting their 11th annual Pet Adoption Day on Saturday, June 16, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This event will take place at the Buddy Monument Plaza (Richmond Hill War Memorial) in Forest Park, which is located at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Park Lane South, in Richmond Hill. This June 16 event marks the 11th consecutive year that the Richmond Hill Block Association has reached out to the community to help animals in need, resulting in well over 100 pets being adopted into loving homes.

Dogs and Cats will be available for adoption and/or fostering.

Volunteers from the Richmond Hill Block Association will be giving out pet supplies to each adopting individual/family.

Brownie Troop 4608, Junior Troop 4021 and Cadette Troop 4226, of the Girl Scouts of the USA, will be collecting blankets and food for the rescue groups.

“These animals desperately need a family to call their own. Please join us on our 11th anniversary and adopt a new furry friend. All are welcome,” said Paul Bankert of the Richmond Hill Block Association.

The Richmond Hill Block Association is located at 110-08 Jamaica Avenue, Richmond Hill, NY 11418; telephone: 718-849-3759.
