Constantinides, Capt. Hall Speak At Jefferson Democratic Club Meeting

The Jefferson Democratic Club held its monthly meeting on April 12 at the Clearview Park Golf Course Clubhouse in Bayside, with Guest Speakers Council Member Costa Constantinides, Chair of the NYC Council Environmental Protection Committee, and Captain John Hall, the new Commanding Officer of the NYPD 111th Precinct.

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, Council Member Constantinides discussed his comprehensive legislative package to combat asthma, as well as other environmental issues, such as the combined sewer overflow at Alley Creek, and solar energy. Council Member Barry Grodenchik also stopped by to provide an update on his new role as Chair of the NYC Council Committee on Parks and Recreation.

Capt. Hall discussed his impressive background and provided details on the 111th Precinct's Neighborhood Policing rollout. Hall also thanked the Jefferson Democratic Club for sponsoring the 111th Precinct's Cop of the Month Awards for the last 7 years.
