Straphanger Robbed At 46th Street Subway Station

Police are searching for three suspects who robbed and assaulted a straphanger at the 46th Street subway station in Astoria on March 28th.

Cops said the 18-year-old woman was standing on the R train platform at the 46th Street station at about 11:40 p.m. on March 28th when three men approached her from behind and struck her on the head as one of the men grabbed her Beats headphones from her head.

The men fled southbound on 49th Street toward Northern Boulevard, police said.

The victim called 911, and refused medical attention at the scene, a fire spokesperson said.

Two of the suspects are described as black males, 18-25 years old. The third suspect is described as a black male under 20 years old.
