Hunt Suspect In Steinway Street Shootings

Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire early Saturday morning, injuring two men outside a troubled Astoria strip club.

Cops said a dispute inside the 4 Play Strip Club at Riviera Gentlemen’s Club at 34-48 Steinway Street in Astoria spilled onto the street outside the club at about 4 a.m. on February 24th.
The dispute turned violent when a gunman opened fire on the two club patrons, police said.

A 33-year-old man was shot several times in the abdomen during the gunfire, and a 29-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his right ankle, police said.

Both victims were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where the 33-year-old was listed in serious condition.

Police said the victims were unable to provide a description or any other information on the gunman. Investigators are reviewing local surveillance footage and canvassing the area to help identify and locate the shooter.
