Queens-Based Filmmakers To Be Featured In 2018 Queens World Film Festival

Photo Ken Brown For Investors BankPhoto Ken Brown For Investors BankThe countdown to opening night begins for the 8th Annual Queens World Film Festival (QWFF) that will run from March 15 to 25. More than 40 independent filmmakers attended the recent news media briefing at the Museum of the Moving Image (MMI). NYC Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer (c.) said “We are grateful to Katha and Don Cato, all the filmmakers and many volunteers who make this one of the best film festivals.” Filmmakers who are based in Queens posed on the stage at MMI. The 2018 QWFF begins with a gala screening event at MMI. Six  independent films will be presented and QWFF will award the Spirit of Queens honors to filmmakers Jan Oxenberg and Vincent Gagliostro.
