Man Tumbles To Death From Subway Beam

A 39-year-old man tumbled to his death from a beam at a Jackson Heights subway station on Monday morning, police said.

Cops said the man was walking along a beam at the 74th Street No. 7 station at about 2:30 a.m. on February 19th when he lost his balance and fell to the street below.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Service on the No. 7 train was suspended between the Queens Plaza and Flushing-Main Street stations for approximately two hours while police gathered information for an ongoing investigation, an MTA spokesperson said.
