Queens Botanical Garden’s Lunar New Year Celebration

This Saturday, February 17, from 12 to 4 pm, celebrate the Year of the Dog at QBG with crafts and performances for free. Learn about the Lucky Plants of the Lunar New Year. From chrysanthemums to jade plants, you’ll find out more about these auspicious beauties. Visit the plant sale and buy your own to take home.

12 to 4 pm: Crafts & Community Art; Zodiac Animal Face Painting (fee applies)

12:30 to 1:30 pm: Storytime in English & Mandarin

1:30 to 1:45 pm: Taekwondo Demonstration by Korea Taekwondo

2 to 2:30 pm and 3 to 3:30 pm (two sessions): Paper Cutting Workshop led by Emily Mock in English & Mandarin

2:30 to 3 pm: Lion Dance Performance by DCH

And there will be a Plant Sale all day in the QBG Shop
