Man Struck By No. 7 Train

A 28-year-old Queens man is fighting for his life this week, after he was run over by a No. 7 train in Jackson Heights on January 19, police said.

Cops said a motorman operating an oncoming No. 7 train at the 82 Street Station spotted the victim on the tracks at about 2:45 a.m. on January 19, but was unable to brake in time to avoid hitting the man.

The train crushed the man’s legs as it roared into the station, police said. The man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center where he remained in extremely in critical condition early this week.

MTA officials said the No. 7 train was rerouted for several hours while police gathered evidence in an ongoing investigation.
