Congestion Pricing Will Strangle The City

Congestion pricing, no matter how it is deployed, is awful for New York City. While we are glad to see they are not trying to put it on all the bridges and tolls, still, to pay $11.52 to be anywhere in Midtown on top of all the other fees and taxes is insane. It will punish stores, businesses, consumers and residents – virtually everyone. And worse, trucks making deliveries, even to small mom and pop-type shops, those that have survived, will be paying $25 – one way – to get into Manhattan. Who do you think will pay that ultimately? Consumers, shoppers, all of us.

Congestion pricing makes no sense, it is counterproductive, and will hurt the entire city even further.
