Celebrate Lunar New Year At Resorts World Casino NYC

In honor of the Lunar New Year, Resorts World Casino New York City is hosting traditional artists, dancing, and calligraphy through February 17 in the spirit of Chinese culture!

RWCNYC’s Red Wall Gallery and the Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL) present a Lunar New Year exhibition, entitled “Blooming Fortune,” highlighting nine renowned Shanghai artists and members of one of the most recognized member-based artist associations, the Chinese Artists Association. The exhibit features flower blossoms, a traditional composition in Chinese paintings, especially prevalent during the Lunar New Year that symbolize good fortune in the new year. In celebrating this most festive time, artists manifest what blooming flowers represent and apply that to their creations.

On Friday, February 9, traditional lion dancers will be performing throughout the casino from noon until 1 p.m. The following Friday, February 16, traditional artists K.K. Wong and Jun Wen will perform live calligraphy on the Times Square level of the Red Wall Gallery from noon to 3 p.m. as part of the Lunar New Year exhibit.

Resorts World Casino New York City is located at 110-00 Rockaway Blvd. in Jamaica.
