'First Baby' 2018

Say hello to New York City and Queens’ “First Baby,” little Ariana Shirin, who made her entrance at precisely 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2018 to claim the dual title of first baby of 2018. Ariana, who weighed in at 4 pounds, 11.5 ounces and 18 inches tall, was born at Flushing Hospital under the watchful eye of Dr. Andrew Rubin, just one minute after the ball dropped at Times Square. Ariana is seen here donning her “Happy New Year” crown, as mom, Tania Shirin, 25, cuddled with her at Flushing Hospital for photos on New Year’s Day. Dr. Rubin said mother and daughter are doing well. —Liz Goff Say hello to New York City and Queens’ “First Baby,” little Ariana Shirin, who made her entrance at precisely 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2018 to claim the dual title of first baby of 2018.
