By Liz Goff

Police are searching for a man who used a crowbar in the failed robbery of ATM machines at a Jackson Heights bank.

Cops said the suspect used the crowbar to gain entrance to an ATM center at a Chase Bank branch at 37-15 82nd Street in Jackson Heights on December 5th. The man entered the ATM center at about 12:45 a.m. on December 5th and tried unsuccessfully to enter a room behind the ATM machines, police said.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 50s, 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall. He was wearing a black jacket, black baseball cap, dark pants and sneakers at the time of the foiled robbery.
