Saluting Helen Marshall



The corner of 103rd Street and Northern Boulevard in Corona- East Elmhurst was renamed in honor of late Helen M. Marshall during a December 10 ceremony attended by Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, who succeeded Mrs. Marshall as borough president. Katz said Marshall fought tenaciously to improve our children’s schools and address intractable quality of- life issues. Members of Marshall’s family also attended, along with State Assembly Member Jeffrion Aubry (c., back) and City Council Members Julissa Ferreras- Copeland (r.), Donovan Richards (fourth from l.), I. Daneek Miller (third from l.) Barry Grodenchik (fourth from r.) and Rory Lancman (second from l.).
