Queens Borough Musical All-Stars To Pay Tribute To The Band’s Last Waltz Concert

Tomorrow, members of the Astoria community will gather together for music and charity at SingleCut BeerSmiths as The Queens Borough Musical All-Stars pay tribute to The Band’s Last Waltz concert.

The event, titled You Don’t Know The Shape I’m In - A Music Tribute To The Last Waltz. The event starts at 8pm, is free, and, open to the public.

Patrons are encouraged to bring winter clothes and coats which will be donated to Housing Works, a non-profit geared towards combating homelessness and HIV/AIDS

The Last Waltz was the historic final concert performed by The Band on Thanksgiving 1976, alongside a legendary cast of musicians and singers including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Patti Smith, Neil Young and more.

This week’s event features performances by the Queens Borough Musical All-Stars along with special guest appearances from local musicians including Kevin Goldhahn of The Gantry, Jay Waber of The Roys, Walter Novak of Sick Walt and more.

SingleCut BeerSmiths is located at 19-33 37th Street in Astoria Queens.
