The Riders Alliance distributed “Subway Delay Action Kits,” cards with instructions that riders can use to sign the online “Fix the Subway” petition, tweet their frustration directly at Governor Cuomo, and become transit advocates who can help win the funding and attention needed to modernize the MTA.

Queensboro Plaza station, on the N, W and 7 subway lines, was the second stop on the campaign to distribute the kits and the first aimed directly at Queens riders. On Monday, November 20, the Riders Alliance unveiled the Subway Delay Action Kit at Grand Central Terminal.

The release of this kit came a week after the release of new MTA data that revealed delays are up 4.5 percent from September of 2016 to September of this year, and that they remain elevated, at approximately triple the monthly average from the year 2012.
