Fourth Annual Children’s Holiday Parade and Lighting Ceremony

The Fourth Annual Children’s Holiday Parade and Lighting Ceremony was held on Sunday, December 3. The lineup started on 36th Avenue off Bell Boulevard (by the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Bayside) and ended on 41st Avenue and Bell Boulevard, the entrance of the Bayside LIRR station. There was holiday caroling, performances, marching bands, NYPD and FDNY, free holiday treats and hot chocolate for the kids, Christmas tree, Menorah and holiday lighting, and, of course, a visit from Santa atop an FDNY fire truck. Joined by Congress Member Grace Meng who brought her daughter, Public Advocate Letitia James, Assembly Member Nily Rozic, and his family, Council Member Paul Vallone said, “Our Fourth Annual Children’s Holiday Parade was bigger and better than ever before! Hundreds of children, families, friends and neighbors came out to march in the parade and celebrate the holidays together. I hope that everyone had an incredible time and I’m already looking forward to next year. To everyone who made this event possible: Bayside Village BID, the 111th Precinct, our elected officials, all our performers, the local businesses, and my staff – I cannot thank you enough! Happy holidays!” The Fourth Annual Children’s Holiday Parade and Lighting Ceremony was held on Sunday, December 3.
