Traffic Fatality In Forest Hills

On Saturday, November 18, at approximately 6:35 p.m. police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Queens Boulevard and 71st Avenue, within the confines of the 112 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 38-year-old female motorist pinned inside of a gray Mercedes Benz and a 68-year-old male old motorist unconscious and unresponsive inside of a gray Jeep. Officers were able to pull the female motorist out of the vehicle without incident. EMS responded to the location and transported the male motorist to North Shore Forest Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation revealed that the woman was inside of the Mercedes Benz traveling westbound on Queens Boulevard and stopped at a red light at 71st Avenue when the 68-year-old man operating the Jeep struck the Mercedes Benz from behind. The identity of the deceased is pending family notification and the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.


The 112th Precinct headquarters, a few blocks from the scene of a car accident that led to a fatality. Emergency responders were on the scene immediately.
