We Will Never ‘Live With’ Terror

Halloween was a beautiful day, much like September 11, 2001 was a beautiful day, and again, in the shadow of the World Trade Center, a new terrorist attack occurred. Too close to the original one, no doubt planned that way by the killer to generate the most injury and panic. The impact was of course horrible, shocking and traumatizing. All we can say is the New York Police Department has done a remarkable, phenomenal job maintaining the highest threshold of security, safety and stability, and we probably do not even know the number of thwarted terrorist attacks they have stopped before they could come to fruition. We offer our deepest condolences and prayers for the individuals and families directly impacted. While there is no making sense of random violence, we will never numbly call it a fact of life, in a sense accepting it. We must keep trying to find a way to eliminate terrorism throughout the world.
