We jumped right into our appetizers which were beautifully presented and served fresh and hot. Juicy mussels were steamed in tequila and chipotle broth which had some heat and was soaked up with grilled bread. Corn crusted calamari are so crunchy and perfect for sharing along with Mojave’s chipotle chicken wings with bleu cheese ($10).The house-made guacamole is a crowd pleaser, as are the nachos with grilled steak. These appetizers are great at the bar or at your table to go along with your cocktails and beer.

Frankie, the friendly manager treated us to some fine, aged tequilas to go with dessert. Mexican fried ice cream is a classic, as are chocolate flan and tres leches cake. Chocolate lava cake and a glass of Kahlua and coffee put the icing on the cake and ends another fine meal at Mojave.
