Stamatiades and 114th Precinct Police Officer Ken Pravitt to show off a portion of face masks and latex gloves donated by the Dignity Memorial Funeral Chapel. Officials at the Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home in Astoria last week joined in an NYPD Relief Donation Drive, providing sorely needed supplies for emergency responders helping people in hurricane ravaged Puerto Rico.

“We received a flyer from the NYPD indicating a need for specific supplies for first responders assisting the people of Puerto Rico,” Thomas M. Quinn general manager Kevin Mack said. “We chose to help with recovery and rebuilding efforts in Puerto Rico by donating much-needed supplies through the NYPD Relief Fund.”

Mack said the Thomas M. Quinn Funeral Home participated in the effort with other Dignity Memorial locations to provide assistance to the people of Puerto Rico.

Mack is urging all businesses and community organizations to get on board the effort by donating supplies through the NYPD Relief Donation Drive.

Call the Community Affairs Officer at your local precinct for a list of needed supplies or to make a donation.
