Enjoy The Best Of Halloween

Some religions view Halloween as a negative, with its pagan associations. We understand their point of view, and respect the sacredness of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day. We certainly do not condone any forms of sacrilege, or any kind of vandalism that uses Halloween as a pretext.

Aside from the religious aspects and different meanings attributed to Halloween by various groups, today, in 2017, on the streets of Queens, Halloween is all about having silly, spooky fun, lots of candy, toys and games, getting creative with costumes, pumpkins and creepy snacks and favors, planning and attending masquerade balls, parades, parties and other kinds of events. Enjoy the departure from the everyday world with the fantastic, otherworldly imagery, the fall flavors, the special events dreamed up by various organizations, and the special seasonal items offered by local shops. And as the children (used to) say, “trick-or-treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!”
