Cops Hunt Elmhurst Heart-Stab Suspect

Police are searching for an assailant who stabbed a man in the heart on a street on Elmhurst on October 9.

Cops said the 35-year-old victim was walking on Macnish Street near Elmhurst Avenue at about 10 p.m. on October 9 when the unknown attacker approached and knifed him in the chest.

The blade pierced his heart, but the victim managed to walk several blocks to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he underwent surgery to remove the blade from his heart, police said.

The victim, whose name has not been released, remains in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital Center.
