Thousands turned out for the Forest Hills Festival.

Thousands turned out for the Forest Hills Festival. The Forest Hills Chamber of Commerce’s Shop Forest Hills – Austin Street Festival, a fall favorite in the community, was more of a summer extravaganza as thousands of shoppers enjoyed the street fair amidst the 90-degree weather. Held on Sunday, September 24, from 11 am to 6 pm on Austin Street, from 69th Road to 72nd Road, the street was packed as visitors and local neighbors flooded the fest.

It was a tasty delight, as cuisine from the Austin Street shops and imported specialties City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz and some of her staff joined Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi’s staff at the festival.Photos Tony BarsamianCity Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz and some of her staff joined Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi’s staff at the festival.Photos Tony Barsamianabounded. Plenty of food, juices and iced drinks were available for everyone to enjoy, while seeing local artists and live entertainment. Children loved the rides and arts & crafts tables.
The event, produced by Clearview Frestival Productions, Queens’ largest street festival company, was a big hit.
