Mr. Olakunle, 54 is a native from Nigeria who moved to Queens five year ago. He told the Gazette in an exclusive interview that he never saw the car coming. HE was hit without notice and he saw the green cab fly up into the air as if in slow motion until it landed on its roof, totally upside down. The cab driver was pinned on the car and had to be removed by members of the FDNY.

The driver of the taxi was treated at the site and Mr. Olakunle was able to walk away while his auto, a 2004 Corolla was not drivable.

Witnesses at the scene of the accident reported that the green taxi was travelling at a high speed and flipped over upon colliding with the Corolla.
