Hunt Woodside Attempted Rapist

By Liz Goff
Police are seeking help from the public in their search for an attempted rapist in Woodside.

Cops said the suspect approached a 24-year-old woman just after midnight on August 17 as she was walking in the vicinity of 61st Street and Woodside Avenue.
The man pretended to have a gun, then exposed himself and forced the woman to touch his genitals, police said. He then tried to force the woman to a secluded area near a construction site, but she fought him off, police said.
The suspect ran from the scene when he saw several people walking nearby.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old, 5-feet, 7-inches tall and 140 pounds, with short brown hair. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket with stripes on one sleeve, dark green pants and a gray cap.
