Hunt Vandal In Park Hate Messages

Police are searching for the vandal who scrawled swastikas and anti-gay messages on trees and rocks inside Forest Park on July 25.
Ops said city Parks Department workers spotted the hate messages at about 4 p.m. on July 25, in a section of the park near 112th Street and Park Lane South.
Police said the vandal used red, white and yellow spray paint, to scrawl hateful messages like, “I Kill GAY PPL.”
The workers also found several swastikas scrawled on nearby trees, police said.
A message posted on the NYC Park Advocates blog, “Walk In The Park” said the area “was littered with condom wrappers” when the hate messages were discovered.
Police are seeking help from the public to identify and locate the vandal(s) and are urging anyone with information to call the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or click on  www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
